VideoDojo Games

Design and development of a website for VideoDojo Games, a UK-based indie game development studio.

VideoDojo Games is an indie game development studio based in the United Kingdom and founded in 2023. I was tasked to design and build the studio’s website to help establish its online presence, and provide information about its debut game, Townbox™. (Which I’m also working on!)

The website was built using Jekyll, and is written in good old HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.

I designed the site to convey VideoDojo Games’ whimsical and playful identity, using a combination of soft colors, bubbly fonts, as well as quirky drawings by my friend Dom, who also founded the studio.

This handcrafted vibe also extends to the site’s icons, drawn in a purposefully “wonky” style, with unsteady lines that don’t quite connect, like they were quickly sketched on a napkin. As one last touch of playfulness, I also integrated an interactive footer (on the desktop version) that has the VideoDojo Games logo follow your cursor!

I also designed a dedicated page for Townbox™, adopting elements from the game’s own visual identity, including its color palette, animated background patterns, and beautiful illustrations designed by Vitoria Bas.
